The People’s Thanksgiving
It happened that on a certain Sunday, during a thanksgiving service, it was an afternoon service.
People would have registered with the Mabarani , stating that they wish to give thanks for what Matenga has done for them in their lives.
These people give thanks for various things.
Some give thanks for pregnancies, having spent years without ever feeling the movement of a child in their wombs.
Others for wealth, or legal cases; some give thanks for the grain from the fields of their farming, and for various illnesses.
Giving thanks to Matenga for what was done for them in their lives by God’s Messenger .
But consider that each person had wasted much wealth going to traditional healers, yet found no help.
Having come to Matenga , they confessed everything fully and cast it all away at the City . I saw two people, a man and a woman, returning as three with a child as the third; those who came blind left seeing; those who came unable to walk left walking; and many were greatly helped.
So if you listen to Matenga’s commandments, we will all be given that which we desire from Matenga ; no one will ever be in want.
Perseverance does not bring shame; if we unite our hearts, we will surely receive it. Let us remember to keep her commandments only and we shall be granted, People of God , everything we ask for in the name of Matenga .
