Guta Ra Jehova
Lesson 20

Matenga’s Journey

Matenga saves many people on her journeys, together with many of her people.

Now when the time came for Matenga's planning, she became a person among the people—she who is God .

In those days there were very many people—thousands upon thousands, hundreds upon hundreds—in the first City .

Matenga said, “The Spirit has said, ‘Travel to Chitsunge, then go to Mutare, and then return again.’”

Then she set off in VaChakanyuka's vehicle, which was in the convoy of soldiers at the City of God , driven by its owner.

That is where Matenga was.

Others got into the other vehicles.

Four trucks; the fifth was a half-ton truck, and it was full.

Some carried the disabled; one carried all who had long-standing illnesses; another carried other people.

But many remained in the City ,

expecting Matenga to come, as she had said.

In those trucks, Matenga would say to the people, “Sing the travel song called…”

“Look after your people, O God ; at all times you protect them in every place.” The whole land resounded with that song.

Then they crossed the river called Save, over the bridges in the middle of the night, passing through villages.

As they sang their travel song, they saw very many people gathered along the roads in the middle of the night, because they were astonished by the melody of the singing.

No one had ever heard such a melody, and such singing of God’s song.

Some were standing along the roads, and those with various illnesses were healed.

Many were crying out, saying, “Save us too.”

Then Baba stood and looked at them.

She said,She said, "Your faith has saved you, my children.has saved you, my children."

When they arrived at Chitsunge, they were received by the local lord , and by the pastor there at Gunde.

Truly, I myself saw it with these very eyes.

This work is being carried out by the power of God .

Matenga say, “Come and see—see for yourselves, all of you—where this work began, on the mountain.”

Matenga say, “That is where deliverance came from: giving children to those who had no children, the wealth of the land, and spiritual wealth—coming from Matenga as a person among the people.”

We all went up that mountain. Prayer was made, and the Messenger said, “I have been charged with those who remained at your homes—go and bring them.”

It was said, “Let them come and see where I took up this work.”

When they all came, we gathered on that mountain.

Then Matenga began to call out on that mountain, saying, “Come and receive deliverance! You who are barren, come and receive children! You without legs, come and receive legs! You without eyes, without ears, and those who cannot speak—come and receive everything; I give it to you!”

“Even fools, and thieves, and prostitutes, and murderers, and drunkards, and smokers—everyone who believes will receive eternal life.”

Many were seized by power and fell to the ground, but no one was injured.

Then I saw very, very many people come and gather at that mountain where Matenga were.

When Matenga saw that the people were frighteningly many, a song was sung such as no one had ever heard sung before.

All who had gathered sang that song, and Matenga saw that their singing had been heard.

They cried out a shout; many vomited, and others were seized by very great power and fell to the ground.

Some saw visions with spiritual eyes; others were shown truly terrifying things coming from heaven.

On that mountain there was a very terrifying rumbling.

Then Matenga asked questions within the congregation , saying, “(Children of Peter and Mary)”—meaning men and women—“Who is not afraid of these things?”

Then not a single person answered.

There were very many people who had not yet been overcome; others did not believe that she was Matenga .

But when they saw the signs and wonders that happened there on the mountain,

they said, “Truly, truly, this is Baba indeed among the people, as a person among the people”; then their eyes began to see the truth .

They set their minds deeply and decided to leave worldly things as others had.

When they returned to the Church, when they arrived,

many of those who had seen it for themselves on the mountain

said, “We want to confess,” what they had done wrong against God while still in the world.

There were Belts called Enos Rusike.

Many came with horns, others with charms, others with small creatures, others with hyenas, others with snakes—many things. The Belts and their owners came to confess sins that were all shown in their book.

And when they had finished being overcome, they were all written in their book.

Matenga came and laid hands on them all.

But as the song “Lord , We Have Gathered” was sung, many people were filled with the Holy Spirit .

People who came with horns, small creatures, and various medicines—these were burned by Beta and James; they would take those people who had horns and other things and burn them.

These young men were the ones who had been given Baba’s power for that work.

And one day they went again to the same mountain called Hunde.

It is a truly frightening mountain, and I myself saw it—the writer of this.

It shines very brightly; when people arrive there, some are seized by power , because they have reached a holy place.

That is where all the wealth and the songs that carry out this work came from.

Then in the evening, I went to Mutare.
