The Appointment of Evangelists in the City of Jehovah
Truly, truly, the Father descended to earth, she came with a wonderful light; the earth shook.
The Father descended and she began to do the work, and it began to grow little by little.
Now when she had spoken with her Father in heaven, she began to appoint evangelists in the City .
Some of them were appointed at her City , others in the new City .
Evangelist Nyamandura gives his testimony regarding the beginning of Matenga’s Work; he was named John.
Senior Evangelist Nyamandura said that he was drawn by the holy hand, and he also came to Seke.
He confessed in the house and was prayed for there by Matenga while she was still beginning the work.
At those times, Matenga was hearing the confessions herself.
After he had stayed for some days, he said to the Gwayana , “May I be permitted to return to my home for a while?”
The word said, “You have been held by Jehovah ; you shall not go again.”
That was when he was given the office of evangelist .
Afterwards, the work grew; camps were established, and as people came, he would instruct them to confess, which would be done when Matenga was present.
The evangelists would preach again, until a clerk was sought to write down all the people who were coming, and then the building of houses began.
Then other evangelists and Vachikwengera were also appointed.
This evangelist says, “People of the Lord , I have seen it for myself with these very eyes.”
“The mute speaking; the mentally ill who came in a state of great madness leaving as sound people.”
“Those who had epilepsy were cured; those who were thieves were healed of their thievery, and now they no longer steal.”
“Adulterers, the disabled, the blind, the barren, and many things were done by the Gwayana before my eyes as I watched; it was not by my own understanding, but Matenga herself knows.”
So the account of Peter says when he was questioned by Jesus, being asked, “Peter, do you love me more than all these?”
So says Evangelist Nyamandura, who was named John.
“So to this day I am within the City ; Matenga made me a pillar here.”
“To this day I have left everything with my family, because I met Jehovah while I was still alive, and furthermore, it is not by my own understanding. See Revelation 21:1–4.”
“Furthermore, I thank Matenga because the life I have, she is the one who gave it to me.”
Then comes Evangelist Mhundwa, who was appointed by Matenga and named Job.
He says in his testimony, “Great works were performed before my face.”
“Those which I cannot finish explaining; let us only praise Jehovah .”
“I am fortunate because I was also called into this group of eternal life.”
“The troubles and afflictions I had in the world, I was helped by Jehovah .”
Then Evangelist Chareka was appointed and named Cleopas.
He also says, “I came burdened and was helped by Matenga .”
“And I saw great works performed before my face, miracle upon miracle.”
“Blessing to Africa, we were loved, People of the Lord ; let us only humble our minds deeply.”
Then comes Evangelist Tekekeshe, who was named Stephen.
He is the one who says in testimony, “I came with a child who had no bones in his body.”
“But the Father herself put in the bones, and he began to walk and later married.”
“Besides that, the Gwayana helped me greatly and also gave me much wealth.”
Then Evangelist Nyakunu was appointed.
He says in his testimony, “Jehovah , where were you? The world had destroyed us.”
“With the great works you brought, you saved my family.”
“I thank Jehovah who loved me, and I also thank Him for the works I saw with these very eyes.”
“I also thank Mr. Gombakomba, King Zimunya, the District Commissioner , and the Government who gave us this piece of land so that the Gwayana could save us.”
“I thank the British Empire because it agreed to this.”
“Had it not been there, perhaps these things would be in other lands.”
“Now I thank Jehovah who ordained and did these things.”
“May Matenga not forget us in the end of these things, forever. Amen.”
