Matenga Arrives at Zimunya’s Place
Matenga and her people came to the land of King Zimunya, coming from Murehwa where they had been denied a place by King Mangwende.
When they arrived in Mutare, they continued on to King Zimunya, who had promised that their request would be heard.
Indeed, it truly came to pass.
When they arrived in the evening, they met with King Zimunya.
Matenga said to Zimunya, “May I also find a place in your land to do God’s work?”
King Zimunya said, “I have heard this word; you and I shall go together to see the Ngosi in Mutare because we govern together.”
On Saturday morning, they all set off by vehicle to see the Ngosi of Mutare.
They arrived at the Mudziti’s office.
The Ngosi asked, saying, “What do you want here at the office?”
The King said, “I have come because I have seen Matenga , who says, ‘May I also find a place to do God’s work in your land?’”
The King said, “That is why I have come here to the office.”
When the Ngosi saw Matenga , he was very pleased and said, “It is well; let her go and find a place for herself wherever she desires.”
“Do not find it for her; let Matenga herself search for where she wants the Spirit to do her work alone.”
Having heard the Ngosi’s words, they returned to King Zimunya’s home that same day.
The next day, they set off again with the King and his elders, Matenga and her people, and went to search for a place for Matenga to do her work.
They traveled around searching for a place throughout Zimunya’s land.
But the Spirit alone led the way and sought out the place that had been chosen by Matenga .
They arrived at that place.
The vehicles were stopped, and it was said, “This is where the Spirit has desired for Matenga’s work to be done.”
Lord Nyakunu fired a gun three times to show that the Kingdom of God had come; in Zimunya’s land, the Kingdom of God had been received.
The people, together with Zimunya, received the Kingdom of God . Matenga then returned to King Zimunya’s home.
