The Binding of Demons

1 It happened that when the Father saw that today it was necessary for the demons to be bound and removed.

2 He tells his people to go to the house for the binding of demons.

3 When the people entered that house, they were told the procedure for confession by Beta and Jemusi, before Matenga arrived.

4 When the Father arrived, he offered a prayer , and when it was finished, they began to confess the evil spirits they wanted bound before Matenga .

5 They confess deeply such things as avenging spirits, murder, witchcraft, adultery, theft, charms, and evil medicines; and those who sinned while in the City , or at your home, these are the things they confess to Matenga when she comes, along with various other matters.

6 Then I saw Matenga , full of great power to cast out demons and evil spirits from the people.

7 The singers began to sing, and the people formed a line and sat down.

8 Matenga would stand up from where she was sitting with very great power , binding those evil spirits of theirs.

9 The demons that had come out would be questioned outside about what they wanted from that person.

10 Some demons refuse to say what they want from that person.

11 Others speak of their grievances and are given what they want; some mention pots, others cattle, and the person then goes to their home to pay for what has been demanded by their demon.

12 I saw some whose grievances were settled; they did not return to that person again.

13 Regarding demons such as avenging spirits, fighting spirits, and tribal spirits, when they came out, they were held down by strong men because they would want to fight, just as they used to do before they died.

14 I saw two young men, Beta and Jemusi; they were the ones given power by the Father for that work of catching demons and questioning those demons about what they wanted from that person.

15 But I saw that these demons do not choose where to come out; whether from an adult or a small child, they just come out; even if it is not your relative, it just comes out, for it has no shame.

16 I saw women having demons of witchcraft and avenging spirits removed, as well as men.

17 These people are worshiping God in truth , because they were liberated from the troubles they had in their lives.

18 They are the ones worshiping, waiting to go with Matenga .

19 I too had many spirits removed by Matenga ; she helped me very greatly.

20 These evil spirits are what prevent some people from walking in God’s truth , because if one has not yet had the evil spirits removed, they deceive God as if they are worthy in the Lord .

21 If you worship while still having these things without anyone to remove them from you, you are still kin to a heathen.

22 Because you do not hate sins at all times.

23 You still love darkness more than light.

24 But the light has come now.
