Beginning to Examine the Causes

1 It happened that when there were examinations of pregnancies.

2 When the Spirit saw that these pregnancies were not well.

3 She touches the back and returns the child into their wombs.

4 Because the child would have been placed there by a demon.

5 So some appeared as if they were not pregnant, but they all were.

6 They are then revealed by the Spirit, but unclean spirits and demons had truly possessed the people.

7 That is what prevented them from bearing children on earth.

8 Matenga prays for those spirits to come out; they were asked what they wanted while they spoke of their crimes, and the child would then rest well in that womb.

9 Once these demons have been settled, then giving birth becomes easy.

10 But there are other unclean spirits called: Umai, Zukuru, Ngozi , Gushu, and Zimbwa; these things are very troublesome.

11 And the grandmother’s skin; that is what sometimes causes a person to be unable to bear children.
